Family Photos at Ardo | A Special Birthday Celebration in Townsville

A Very Special Birthday

A very special birthday was being celebrated. Family was flying in from all over the world to be together. Her children knew that nothing would be a more meaningful gift to their mum than family photos during their stay at Ardo Townsville. So, her daughter googled and found me.

I’m always incredibly grateful when someone says they’ve chosen me because “your photos don’t look staged and showcase people’s personality and realness.” That’s exactly what I want to be known for.

I arrived at the Ardo as some of the family were still arriving. I was hidden as a surprise for Mum. Although she suspected that they might have arranged for photos, she was absolutely delighted when she found out. It was so special to be there as the family reunited and as aunts, uncles, and cousins met a new addition to the family for the first time.

The kids (and dads!) were in full holiday mode. So after some photos upstairs, they were more than ready to hit the pool again… so we did!

It was as though no time had passed — the way they all seamlessly loved and cared for each other’s children, and the joy that filled every moment. But the greatest joy of all was Mum’s… having all her beloveds together. I know how much I want to soak up those moments myself.

The newest little addition was passed around from one set of loving arms to another. There’s something so special about having babies in the family when your own have grown past that stage. The older cousins made their own fun (and did the best job of it!).

Truly grateful

I will never stop being grateful for every single family that invites me in to document them. It’s as big a gift to me as I hope the photos are to them.
